It also integrates with third-party platforms to push data and files, as well as trigger user-defined actions such as notifications, emails, and calendar invites.
While we may offer services to clients outside the US, these Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with US law. By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms and to comply with all applicable United States laws and regulations. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use our Platform.
3. Use of the Platform
3.1 Eligibility
You must be a licensed legal professional or authorized representative of a legal firm operating in the United States to use our services. By using our Platform, you represent and warrant that you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of yourself and/or your firm.
3.2 License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Platform for its intended purposes within the United States, subject to these Terms.
3.3 Prohibited Conduct
When using our Platform, you agree not to:
Violate any applicable United States laws or regulations
Interfere with the security, integrity, or operation of the Platform
Use the Platform to engage in any fraudulent or harmful activity
Access or attempt to access areas of the Platform or information not intended for you
Upload any client data without proper authorization or consent
4. Platform Features and Integrations
4.1 Core Functionalities
Our Platform provides the following AI-led and human operations supported functionalities:
Agnostic LLM pretrained on a growing file library and learning from operations team’s and customers’ interactions and usage
Records, documents, and correspondence management and data extraction
File type identification, naming, and organization
Intake, case, and matter management
Workflow automations to support notifications, follow-up actions, calendaring and note taking
4.2 Third-Party Integrations
Our Platform integrates with various third-party services to enhance functionality. These integrations allow for:
Data and file transfers from and to third-party platforms, such as customers’ Case Management Systems/Customer Relationship Management systems
Triggering of user-defined actions, including notifications, emails, and calendar invites
4.3 User-Defined Actions
Users can set up and manage various automated actions, including but not limited to:
Editing and adding to the file and document type library
Creating and sending notes, emails, and text messages
Setting up calendar invites and deadlines
Configuring custom workflows
Creating and assigning tasks
Setting up case management processes
Creating templates for automated document generation
4.4 User Responsibility
You are solely responsible for:
Ensuring the accuracy and appropriateness of all data transferred and actions triggered
Complying with the terms of service and policies of any third-party platforms you integrate with
Obtaining necessary consents from clients or other parties affected by automated actions
4.5 Authorization
By setting up integrations and automated actions, you authorize Powerhouse to transfer data, files, and trigger actions on your behalf in accordance with your configurations.
5. Data Processing and Compliance
5.1 US Compliance
Our Platform is designed to comply with United States data protection laws, including HIPAA for healthcare-related legal data. We implement administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect sensitive information in accordance with US legal standards.
5.2 Data Storage and Processing
By using our Platform, you acknowledge and agree that:
Your data will be stored and processed in the United States
Your data is subject to US laws and regulations
We may transfer and process data in accordance with US legal requirements
5.3 HIPAA Compliance
We maintain HIPAA compliance to ensure the integrity and security of sensitive health information that may be contained in legal documents. If required, we will enter into a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) with your firm.
6. User Accounts and Security
6.1 Account Creation
To access our services, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate.
6.2 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
6.3 Access Controls
You are responsible for managing access controls within your organization to ensure that only authorized personnel can access client data through our Platform.
7. Client Data and Attorney-Client Privilege
7.1 Respect for Attorney-Client Relationship
We understand and respect the sanctity of the attorney-client relationship. Our Platform is designed to facilitate your work while maintaining the confidentiality and privilege associated with client communications and documents.
7.2 Data Ownership
All client data uploaded to our Platform remains the property of you or your firm. We do not claim ownership of any client data processed through our Platform.
7.3 Data Use
We will only use client data as necessary to provide our services and as directed by you. We will not access, use, or disclose client data for any other purpose unless required by law.
8. International Use
The Platform is controlled and operated from the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the United States, you do so at your own risk and are responsible for compliance with local laws. We make no representation that the Platform is appropriate or available for use in other locations.
While we may provide services to international users, our primary focus is on serving US-based legal professionals. Any international use of the Platform is subject to these US-based Terms and US legal standards.
9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Our Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its software, features, and functionality, is owned by Powerhouse Inc. and is protected by US intellectual property laws.
9.2 Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you upload to the Platform. By using our services, you grant us a limited license to use, store, and process this content solely for the purpose of providing our services to you.
9.3 Third-Party Services
Our Platform may utilize open-source software (OSS). We warrant that our usage of such OSS complies with the applicable OSS licenses. We will indemnify you against any claims arising from our breach of any applicable OSS license.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Powerhouse Inc. is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Platform, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Powerhouse Inc., its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.
12. Changes to the Platform and Terms
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any features of the Platform at any time. We will provide notice of material changes to the Platform or these Terms via email or through the Platform itself. Your continued use of the Platform after such notification constitutes acceptance of the changes.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13.2 Jurisdiction
For users in the United States, any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the federal or state courts located in California, United States.
For users outside the United States, you explicitly consent to the jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located in California, United States, for any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms.
13.3 Arbitration
Any dispute shall be resolved through binding arbitration conducted by the American Arbitration Association in California, in accordance with its commercial arbitration rules.
13.4 Class Action Waiver
